Rich in linoleic acid and vitamins K and E, Safflower seed oil is reputed to minimize the irritation of skin that is prone to rosacea and redness. It revitalizes mature skin and prevents the onset of the signs of ageing. Its tint ranges from yellow to red. Safflower is also known as “the dyer’s saffron”, because of its star-shaped orange and yellow flowers, which are included in the formulation of Japanese lipstick and of the Berbers’ Aker fassi. Its oil is used in traditional Chinese medicine.
